130 new stars, 23 winners and a film premiere

2300 attendees from 65 countries came to Monaco for a three-day discussion of open questions in oral tissue regeneration. At Osteology Monaco Geistlich Biomaterials focussed on its triple jubilee: 20 years of Geistlich Bio-Gide®, 30 years of Geistlich Bio-Oss® and 1000 studies with biomaterials from Geistlich.

Numerous participants took the chance to congratulate Geistlich by bringing their own created stars with good wishes to the Geistlich booth. So, funny poems could be read there like "Roses are red, violets are blue, I use Geistlich Bio-Oss® Collagen, and so should you!" or statements such as "No worries, no losing sleep with Geistlich Bio-Oss® and Geistlich Bio-Gide®. Thank you!".

Three studies with 23 authors honoured

In addition, Geistlich awarded prizes to three further studies from the 1000 existing studies with Geistlich biomaterials: the one with the longest histological follow-up1, the one with the longest aesthetic follow-up2 and the one with most patients involved3. For every award Geistlich donates 1000 Swiss Francs to the organization Doctors of the World.

Insight into the world of cells

Last but not least, the new cutting-edge HD video animation "Cell-to-Cell Communication - Guided Bone Regeneration" which was supported by Geistlich and produced by Interactive Systems and Quintessence Publishing celebrated its world premiere in Monaco. The film visualizes the highly complex intercellular interactions and signalling pathways that play a key role in Guided Bone Regeneration.
